Benjamin Dennie, a Grade 12 student at École secondaire catholique Jeunesse-Nord (Blind River), distinguished himself significantly throughout high school with his unparalleled dedication and Francophone pride. In addition to serving as the Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon student trustee for the Districts of Algoma and Manitoulin from 2020 to 2022, he also displayed his leadership skills within the school’s Student Parliament and Jeunesse Action (Active Youth) Committee since Grade 9 by leading several workshops and awareness activities.

An accessible and proud Francophone role model, Benjamin also stands out for his leadership and dedication in the Franco-Ontarian community at the local and provincial levels. As an employee of the Regroupement d’associations francophone de l’Ontario (RAFO) Rive-Nord, he organized and hosted a leadership camp for young Francophones of the North Shore area. Much appreciated for his great leadership, Benjamin has been a member of the Representation Council of the Fédération de la jeunesse franco-ontarienne (FESFO) since the summer of 2000 and has served as the president of the Executive Council of the FESFO for the past year.
