This weekend the Blind River fire department is hosting an open house for residents interested in what local firefighters provide in services and equipment to the community.
Mayor Sally Hagman emphasized the weekend open house in her remarks at council’s Tuesday evening meeting and urged residents to make the visit.
“This coming Saturday, September 9 the Blind River Fire Department will be hosting an open house from 10-4 p.m,” she said. “It’s a great opportunity to meet our local volunteers, see our amazing fire station, learn fire prevention tips and get some prizes."
"There is a BBQ and car wash on site to raise funds for the Fire Department Association. Come out have some fun and support your local fire fighters.”
