Blind River residents and visitors to the community will have a myriad of festival events to take in during the year. Council, at its meeting Tuesday evening, approved a schedule of events recommended by its Recreational Cultural Services Committee.
June 7 and June 8 will see the annual Seniors’ Day Games hosted in town followed on July 1 by the Canada Day celebrations. Community Days will take place from July 11 to July 14. The Seniors’ Christmas luncheon will be held on Nov. 28 followed by the Children’s Christmas Party on Dec. 14.
A decision on the dates for the Fall Festival and Santa Claus Parade have yet to be established and approved by council.
