Freezing rain warning in effect for:
- Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake
Freezing rain continues this morning.
Travel in the affected areas could become hazardous, particularly along highway 17 between Thessalon and Sudbury and along highway 11 between Temiskaming Shores and Marten River. The freezing rain will transition to rain or snow early this morning.
North of the areas mentioned above, precipitation will fall mainly as snow. Snowfall amounts up to 10 cm can be expected today in areas from north of Elliot Lake east towards Halfway Lake Provincial Park and Temiskaming Shores.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
