Appointment for mayor, vacant council seat, on council agenda tonight

The council agenda for this evening, Mon. Feb. 12 at 7:00 p.m. includes:

  • The appointment from one of the existing council to mayor to fill the vacant mayor’s seat.
  • The appointment will create a vacant councillor’s seat. A decision about the method to fill the councillor's seat is on the agenda.
  • An agreement for an All-Wheel Park. This item is the pump track and Kiwanis ball field.
  • A public petition requesting a reconsideration regarding the location of the pump track.
  • Property decisions are listed. As is normal practice, these are scheduled for closed session discussion. An announcement sharing some information with the public could be made, subsequently.
  • Staff have identified opportunities for “servicing and subdivision of lots on Edinburgh Rd,” and they are bringing this to council. It is scheduled for open discussion.
  • A recommendation for a Tourism Growth Program with 100% dollars available.
  • The designation of a Community Emergency Management Coordinator to fill a one-year vacancy.
  • A request for authority to enter into a sole source purchase agreement for a niche wall at the cemetery.
