Algoma Public Health is reporting no new hospitalizations with COVID-19, and 100 new cases since their last report on Feb. 20, but these numbers may be an underestimation due to limits on who can be tested.

There are currently 593 active cases of COVID-19 in the region, down from 618.

With the 100 new cases, this means that 125 cases were resolved in the last two days.

APH completed 777 tests since their last report with a positivity rate of 12.8 per cent.

Within the eligible population, 84 per cent of people have received at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Note: As of Dec. 31, 2021, the province has limited COVID-19 PCR testing to the highest risk populations. Furthermore, some people with mild or asymptomatic infection may not seek testing. Algoma Public Health states that the numbers of confirmed cases are an underestimate of the actual number of people with COVID-19 in the Algoma region.
