APH reports seven new cases of COVID-19 and three potential public exposures

Anyone who attended these events or was on that flight is advised to monitor themselves for any symptoms, self-isolate and seek testing if any symptoms do occur.

Algoma Public Health is reporting seven new cases of COVID-19 in the Sault Ste. Marie area, as well as three potential public exposures.

The low-risk public exposures are as follows:

  1. Anyone who attended or worked the Soo Greyhound game on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at the GFL Memorial Gardens, of a potential low-risk exposure to COVID-19.
  2. Anyone who attended the 11:00 am service at Bethel Bible Church, located at 686 Black Rd. on Oct. 31, 2021 of a potential low-risk exposure to COVID-19.
  3. Anyone who travelled on Air Canada, Flight AC 8203 on Thursday, November 4, 2021, from Toronto to Sault Ste. Marie of a potential low-risk exposure to COVID-19. Passengers who sat in seats 3-9 should contact their local public health unit for further information.

Anyone who attended these events or was on that flight is advised to monitor themselves for any symptoms, self-isolate and seek testing if any symptoms do occur.

The new COVID-19 cases bring the total number of cases to 563 since the beginning of the pandemic.

Two cases are of unknown origins, one is tied to international travel and the other four are tied to known cases of COVID-19.

All were tested on Nov. 4 and 5, and all are self-isolating.

There are 49 active cases in the Algoma Public Health region and two hospitalizations.
