APH reports one new case of COVID in the region

Case #468 falls under the ‘unknown exposure’ category

Algoma Public Health (APH) is reporting one new case of COVID-19 in the Sault Ste. Marie area.

A notice issued by APH states that case #468 falls under the ‘unknown exposure’ category, meaning the individual did not have contact with a known confirmed case, nor did that recently travel outside the country.

The individual was tested on Sept. 26 and is currently self-isolating.

APH reports 10 active cases and no hospitalizations in the Algoma district.

Algoma regions with COVID-19 cases reported in the past 14 days include:
    •    Sault Ste. Marie and area
    •    Elliot Lake and area
