Algoma Public Health is reporting one new case of COVID-19 in the Sault area.

The health unit says the exposure category is unknown, and the individual is self-isolating at home.

APH says all known close contacts have been notified.

The health unit is also reporting that of the two new cases it reported on Friday, Aug. 13, one has been transferred to another jurisdiction and the local case count has been adjusted to reflect that.

To date, 410 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the Algoma region. There are four active cases.
