APH reporting two new COVID cases in the Sault

Algoma Public Health is reporting a pair of new COVID-19 cases in the Algoma region.

Both new cases are in the Sault Ste. Marie area and bring the total number of cases in the region since the start of the pandemic to 418.

Both individuals, who are currently self-isolating, were tested on Aug. 20 and were exposed to COVID through close contact with a known confirmed case.

All close contacts have been notified.

The new cases bring the number of active cases in Algoma to 10.
