Algoma Public Health is reporting a potential low-risk exposure to COVID-19 in Sault Ste. Marie.
The potential exposure was at Shooters Lounge on Dennis St. on Nov. 22 between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Anyone who was present at the time is advised to self-monitor for COVID symptoms for 10 days from potential exposure and self-isolate and seek testing if symptoms develop.
APH is also reporting 29 new COVID cases in the region, 25 of which are in the Sault area and four in central and east Algoma.
Of the new cases, 11 were infected through close contact with another confirmed case and nine are under the exposure category of unknown, meaning the individual did not have any recent international travel or close contact with a confirmed case.
All 20 of those individuals are currently self-isolating.
APH is also reporting that the exposure category for nine individuals is "under investigation" and also have their isolation status as under investigation.
There are currently 258 active cases in the region, one of which is an individual who is not from the Algoma region but temporarily here.
There are also 14 hospitalizations.
