Algoma Public Health has confirmed the 57th COVID-19 case in the region.
In a release issued Tuesday evening, APH advises that the latest case was tested on Monday and is currently self-isolating.
The exposure category for the individual was close contact with a known confirmed case.
Of the 57 cases in the region, 14 remain active.
