Snowfall warning in effect for:
  • Elliot Lake - Ranger Lake

Snowfall, with total amounts of about 15 cm is expected.

Snow will begin Saturday morning and is expected to be heavy at times. 15 cm of snow will fall before the snow tapers Saturday evening.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.

Wind warning in effect for:

  • Manitoulin Island

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.

Northwesterly winds will develop late Saturday afternoon with gusts reaching 100 km/h. The winds will slowly weaken through Saturday evening.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.

Significant snowfall on tap for Saturday.

A compact and fast-moving low pressure system will race across northeastern Ontario on Saturday, accompanied by a mix of snow and rain. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 centimetre are expected. Very strong northwest winds will develop in the evening, with gusts to 80 km/h or more possible.
