80 km/h wind gusts expected in the region Thursday

    •    Blind River - Thessalon
    •    Espanola - Killarney
    •    Manitoulin Island

Strong wind gusts expected Thursday.

Hazard:
Southeasterly wind gusts up to 80 km/h.

Timing:
Early Thursday morning into Thursday evening.

Impacts:
Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and power outages are possible.

Discussion:
A strong low pressure system is expected to bring strong southeasterly wind gusts over parts of northeastern Ontario beginning early Thursday morning continuing through Thursday afternoon. The strongest wind gusts are expected primarily near lake Huron, Georgian Bay and the North Channel.
