NEWS RELEASE
ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL ELLIOT LAKE
**************************
St. Joseph’s General Hospital Elliot Lake (SJGHEL) is actively monitoring the situation with COVID-19 and is taking new measures to ensure the safety of patients, residents, visitors and staff.

All non-essential visits to the facility are suspended until further notice. At this time, only people visiting patients and residents who are very ill or requiring end of life care are being permitted to enter the building. Upon arrival, you will be asked further questions to determine if you may proceed with your visit.

Please remember:
    •    washing your hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer is your first defence against this illness
    •    sneezing and cough into your sleeve
    •    avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
    •    avoid contact with people who are sick
    •    stay at home if you are sick. In particular, do not visit a long-term care, retirement home or other congregate living situation. It is vital that Ontarians remain home when they are sick to prevent the spread of illness to others

More information on COVID-19 can be found on our website and Algoma Public Health website.
