There is one new case of COVID-19 being reported by Public Health Sudbury and District this morning.
Case No. 219 in the region is a person from Greater Sudbury. The probable exposure of the new case is classified as “information pending or missing.”
There are currently 11 confirmed active COVID-19 cases in the region, up from 10 Sunday.
As of Friday, there were three patients admitted to Health Sciences North under investigation for a possible case of COVID-19. None of them were in the ICU.
Although the admitted number might seem not to change, hospital spokesperson Jason Turnbull said the number is updated daily on weekdays between 11 a.m. and noon.
Only one COVID-19 positive patient was admitted to HSN this month, and discharged a few days later. The patients under investigation metric are those who visit the hospital and end up being tested for the virus and are awaiting results.
