Four new confirmed cases of COVID-19 are reported by Sudbury Public Health

PHSD reports there are now 10 active cases in the local jurisdiction

SUDBURY - As the last weekend before Christmas comes to a close, Public Health Sudbury and Districts (PHSD) reported two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 yesterday, and two new cases on Friday afternoon.

The latest information from PHSD reveals there are now 10 active cases being monitored by public health officials in the PHSD jurisdiction. It means the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases since the local case tracking began back in March is now 254 cases. Of that number, 244 cases have been resolved.

Both of the new cases were listed as being travel related. The age and gender of the individuals who tested positive was not specified.

At the provincial level today (December 20, 2020) there were 2,316 new COVID-19 cases reported for all of Ontario.

This is the sixth day in a row that the provincial COVID-19 case count has been in excess of 2000 persons.
