The Head of Quality Management Systems is responsible for the development and enhancement of Ecoplastic’s Quality Management Systems providing support and maintaining compliance with all company guidelines, IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and all applicable government regulations and standards. This is a leadership position that represents the company in external, internal & third-party audits and follow-up activities including managing any findings to satisfactory closure. The Head of Quality Management Systems has a high-profile role requiring effective communication across all levels and functional areas. This is an on-site position.
RESPONSIBILITES:
⦁ Develop and administer a process based internal audit program.
⦁ Liaise with internal and external entities to ensure the robustness of the management system.
⦁ Lead periodic Management Review Meetings, (MRM), ensuring that the content of such remains in compliance with.
⦁ Plan, schedule, direct, evaluate, and manage the day-to-day work of the QMS Team.
⦁ Assist as necessary to maintain filing system/training database.
⦁ Develop and routinely provide metrics to measure the suitability and effectiveness of various Quality Systems product performance.
⦁ Responsible for producing, collecting, and presenting metrics to various functions, internal and external customers, Management Review, and Post Market Surveillance.
⦁ Respond to internal and external requests for information by preparing and analyzing ad-hoc queries and reports.
⦁ Must have the ability to work with multiple software programs and tools.
⦁ The position will be an audit facing subject matter expert.
⦁ Own the quality system audits and documentation system.
⦁ Complete quality internal audits and coordinate representation of external audits.
⦁ Maintain open items log and confirm nonconformances are closed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
⦁ Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or at least 5 years of equivalent experience in manufacturing/automotive industry.
⦁ IATF 16949 Lead Auditor Certification is required.
⦁ Proven ability to solve complex problems and influence people across all functional areas.
⦁ Ability to manage multiple priorities and be self-starting on tasks within area of expertise.
⦁ Subject matter expert in all prescribed IATF 16949 elements.
⦁ Familiarity with the requirements of ISO 140001
⦁ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation.
⦁ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
⦁ Must be able to work flexible schedule to cover multiple shifts.
⦁ Business travel may be necessary.
