ElliotLakeToday, in partnership with the Society For Animals In Distress, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Hi, we’re Fred and George! We were surrendered to the shelter together and we really want to stay together!

George is my brother and he’s an 8-month-old shorthair brown tabby, I’m Fred and I’m an 8-month-old medium hair tabby.

We are very playful and some of the older cats in the cat room don’t like us, so we have our own room for when we get too playful and upset our roommates. We are very affectionate and can’t get enough attention from people if we try. The girls at the shelter love us and give us so much attention but we still bombard every new human we see for love.

We came from a house with a dog that we did NOT like, so we should probably go to a home where it’s just us or another young playful cat we might like. I (Fred) really enjoy playing with Artemis in the cat room whereas my brother George like to try and plan how to escape into the hallway to find people to love him.

We are ready to find our forever home! We have been neutered, flea and worm treated and fully vaccinated! You can come see us and fill out an application for us Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. We can’t wait to see you! Meow!
