Chris Patrie has taken the mayor's seat in Elliot Lake with 1,619 votes over incumbent Dan Marchisella's 1,158 total.

Only one councillor is returning, that being Norman Mann.

The big winner of the evening is Andrew Wannan who secured 2,275 votes to claim his seat on council and will likely be the next deputy mayor of Elliot Lake.

Joining him on council are Merrill Seidel (1,266), Luc D. Morrisette (1,098), Norman Mann (1,514), Charles Flintoff (1,726) and Rick Bull (1,685)

These results are unofficial. ElliotLakeToday will have more on this soon.

EDITOR'S NOTE: An earlier version of this story reported Bruce Ibbitson won a seat on council when, in fact, it was Rick Bull.
