It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Matthew Coulis on January 24, 2024.
Matthew had a smile that was contagious and could light up a room. He was loving, kind, strong and had a passion for everything in life. He never gave up on anything and was always committed to getting it done.
One of Matt’s passions was hockey and he was fortunate to have played across Ontario with some amazing clubs and coaches. Matthew obtained the nickname “Brick” honestly.
After graduating from the Millwright Program in the Sault he obtained employment at Komatsu and began building his life with Savanah. He loved the outdoors, paddle boarding, kayaking and out-fishing anyone in a boat.
He loved to go for rips on his sled and like any good Leaf fan he took up golfing. He loved it and really enjoyed the time he spent on the golf course with his friends and co-workers.
Matthew leaves behind his best friend and Mom Janice, his ever proud Dad John, the love of his life Savanah Bain, sister Kayleigh (brother in law Ty and soon to be nephew Blake), GMA Joanne Thompson, Papa Bob Thompson, Uncle Paul Thompson and his other parents Terri Clegg and Ron Bain as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be dearly missed by his fur babies Olivia, Rebel, Whiskey, River, Peanut, Lily, Alfie, snickers, pita, maisey and remi.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday February 17th, 2024 at the Moose Lodge from 1-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to an Animal Shelter of your choice would be appreciated.
