On Aug. 17, 2017, shortly after 8 a.m., members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded an assault that occurred in front of a business on Brunswick Walk in the City of Elliot Lake.
Police determined that a female had walked by a business with her leashed pet. A male then walked towards her and sprayed with a watery substance.
As a result, Luciano Monteleone, 54 years of age from Elliot Lake was charged with: assault with a weapon, contrary to section 267(a) of the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on Oct. 3, 2017.
