Vehicle crashed into Blind River business, police say

Police report that the driver then fled the scene

On May 26, 2019 at approximately 6:41 p.m., members of the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a collision at a business in Blind River.

The investigation has since revealed that a black SUV collided with the side of the building at the business causing damage. The vehicle then departed from the scene. Officers identified the vehicle and located the driver a short time later.

As a result of the investigation, Skye Robichaud-Miller, 19 years of age from Blind River, Ont. was charged with the following:

  • Fail to report accident, contrary to section 199(1) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA)
  • Drive motor vehicle - no licence, contrary to section 32(1) of the HTA
