Two face fail to comply charges in unrelated calls

Ontario Provincial Police charged a 41-year-old from Spanish and a 40-year-old from Espanola with failing to comply with their release conditions in unrelated incidents

WEBBWOOD - On April 28, 2020 at approximately 12:52 a.m., officers from the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a suspicious person complaint in Sables-Spanish Rivers Township.

As a result of the investigation, Terralee Robinson, 41 years of age from Spanish, was charged with:

  •   Fail to comply with release order - other than to attend court contrary to section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal code CC.

The accused was released on an Appearance Notice and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on Aug. 10, 2020.

ESPANOLA - On April 28, 2020 at approximately 3:31 p.m., officers from the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an assist call at a residence in Espanola.

Officers arrested a subject who was breaching the conditions of an undertaking stemming from a previous spousal assault charge.

As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old, from Espanola was charged with failing to comply with undertaking contrary to section 145(4)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC).

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola in July, 2020.

The OPP will not be releasing the name of the accused in order to protect the identity of the victim.
