The complainant had reported their pick-up truck was just stolen from their driveway. The owner advised police of a male suspect who was known to them who they believed had stolen the truck. A short time later, the owner located his pick-up truck crashed into a snowbank at the intersection of Joubin Road and Hutchison Avenue. The male suspect driver was trying to get the vehicle unstuck by spinning the tires repeatedly backwards and forwards. In order to prevent the male from getting away, the owner smashed the window and pulled the driver out. A short physical altercation ensued which resulted in the male driver fleeing on foot. Police followed the suspect's footprints in the snow and located the male inside a residence on Spruce Avenue. He was subsequently arrested and charged.
