On Jan. 2, 2018, the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members were on regular patrol duties on Highway 108, in the City of Elliot Lake, Ont.
Police conducted a traffic stop and investigation revealed the driver was suspended. This resulted in the male driver charged.
Keith Gofenko, 46 years of age, from Elliot Lake, Ont was charged with:
- Driving while suspended, contrary to section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA)
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on Feb. 7, 2018.
