Teen accused of breaking into pizza place in Blind River

Video footage helped police to identify the youth

On April 4, 2020, at approximately 1 p.m., members from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a break and enter in progress at a closed pizza business in the Town of Blind River. 

The lone person had left prior to police arrival. Officers viewed the business' video footage and identified a youth. A short time later the youth was located and arrested.  

As a result of the investigation, a 15-year-old youth from Blind River, Ontario, was charged with: break, enter a place - commit indictable offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on June 11, 2020.
