ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE

On Aug. 31, 2019 at approximately 10:30 a.m., East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police members were called to a Motor Vehicle Collision on Hutchison Avenue the City of Elliot Lake, Ontario.
Police received information that a black Dodge pick-up truck had smashed into a retaining wall and then left the scene. Witnesses provided police with the male driver's name, vehicle description, and direction of travel. A front wheel and axle from the pick-up truck were left at the scene of the crash. Police located the damaged pick-up truck a short time later on Fox Road and the male driver was charged.
Markus Crombie, 40 years of age, of Elliot Lake, Ontario was charged with:
- Careless driving, contrary to section 130(1) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA),
- Fail to Remain, contrary to section 200(1)(a) of the HTA.
