OPP respond to complaint of 'aggressive driver' in Blind River

The B.C. man was charged with driving under licence of another jurisdiction while suspended in Ontario

On March 26, 2020, members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police Detachment responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 17 where a westbound vehicle was weaving in and out of traffic.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m., OPP located the vehicle in the Town of Blind River and initiated a traffic stop. As a result of the investigation, the driver Michael Dozzi, 46 years of age, from Kelowna, British Columbia, was charged with:

  • Driving under licence of other jurisdiction while suspended in Ontario, contrary to section 36 of the Highway Traffic Act.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on Aug. 19, 2020.
