On Aug. 24, 2018, members from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a female after investigation stemming from numerous neighbour disputes on Ste. Camillus Crescent in the City of Elliot Lake, Ont.

On July 26, 2018, the complainant reported on-going disputes involving a female neighbour. The female (is alleged to have) continually yelled obscenities and made rude comments and gestures to the complainant. Police cautioned both parties and were told to leave each other alone. But, after further investigation, it was learned that the female had told police a different last name and date of birth.

Patricia O’Neill, 55 years of age from Elliot Lake, Ont., was arrested and charged with:
    •    Public mischief, contrary to section 129(a) of the Criminal Code (CC), and
    •    Perjury, contrary to section 131 of the CC

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake, Ont. on Oct. 30, 2018.
