On Aug. 2, 2019 at approximately 2:40 p.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a mischief call on Hirshhorn Avenue in Elliot Lake, Ont.
The complainant reported that a male who was known to him, attended his residence on Hirshhorn Avenue, and broke the driver's side mirror off his pickup truck. Earlier that day the two males were involved in a verbal argument.
On Aug. 3, 2019, the male suspect was arrested.
Kurtis Nykyforak, 20 years of age, from Elliot Lake, was charged with:
- Mischief under $5,000, contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code (CC).
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake, Ont. on Sept. 3, 2019.
