On June 26, 2019, members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police received information that a male was in breach of previous release conditions at a campsite in a wooded area near McCarthy Lake, south of the City of Elliot Lake, Ontario.
At approximately 11:30 p.m. the OPP's Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit, and uniform members attended the area and arrested the male.
Edmond Fournier, 41 years of age, of Elliot Lake, Ontario, was charged with:
- Fail to comply with recognizance, contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code (CC).
The accused was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River, Ontario on June 27, 2019.
