Local man charged with breaching bail conditions

On May 7, 2018, members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting general patrol duties in the area of Westview Park in the City of Elliot Lake, Ontario.

Police spoke to a male who was parked in his vehicle. The male was found to be in violation of numerous conditions from previous release documents and was therefore subsequently arrested.

David Jack (DJ) Willett (Jr.), 27 years of age, of Elliot Lake, Ontario, was charged with:

  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance (four counts), contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code (CC).

The accused was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River, Ontario on May 8, 2018.
