Espanola man charged with domestic assault

ESPANOLA - On Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at approximately 5:23 p.m., officers from the Manitoulin-Espanola detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic dispute that occurred in the Town of Espanola, Ont.

As a result of the investigation, a 24-year-old male from Espanola, Ont. has been charged with:

  • Assault - spousal, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Provincial Court of Justice in Espanola on Dec. 3, 2018.

In order to protect the identity of the victim, the name of the accused is not being released.
