Driver suffers 'life-altering injuries' in snowmobile crash

LEHMAN TOWNSHIP - On March 25, 2020 shortly before 7 p.m., members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment as well as the OPP's Technical Collision Investigation Unit (TCI) responded to a motorized snow vehicle (MSV) collision on Bear Lake in Lehman Township north of Sables-Spanish River Township.

The driver, a 62-year-old male from Walford, Ont., lost control of his snowmobile and sustained life-altering injuries. The male was transported by Manitoulin Sudbury Paramedic Services to local hospital in the Town of Espanola.

The investigation is still on-going.
