Disturbance call leads to arrest

ELLIOT LAKE, - On May 2, 2020 at approximately 9:30 a.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a disturbance call on Beckett Boulevard in the City of Elliot Lake.

The complainant reported a person yelling obscenities directed towards them from an apartment window. Police attended and learned that person was currently out on bail conditions to not have any communication with the complainant. As a result, the accused was arrested and charged.

Lindsey O'Brien, 35 years of age of Elliot Lake, was charged with:
    •    Fail to comply with release order - other than to attend court, contrary to section 145(5)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC).

The accused was scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Blind River on May 3, 2020.
