Damage in Espanola break and enter estimated at $5,000

ESPANOLA - On Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 at approximately 7:56 a.m., officers from the Manitoulin-Espanola Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a theft in progress from a business on Panache Lake Road in the Town of Espanola, Ont.

With the assistance of the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the OPP Canine Unit, officers made attempts to locate the suspect with negative results. The damage to the building and theft are estimated to be over $5,000.

The investigation is continuing and OPP are asking that any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this incident should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.
