Convenience store robbed at knifepoint, police say

Police seek two suspects who fled on foot after allegedly stealing cash from the till

On Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, at approximately 5:00 p.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a robbery at a convenience store on Hillside Drive North in the City Elliot Lake, Ontario.

The investigation has since revealed that a male had entered the store and brandished two knives. One staff member was held against their will. The male suspect proceeded to steal cash from the till and then fled on foot. Additionally, he may have been with a female at the time.  

The male suspect is described as;

  • Caucasian
  • Male
  • Facial tattoos
  • Wearing a red and black coat
  • Black toque

The female suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • Blonde hair
  • Black Canada Goose jacket
  • Grey fur hood
  • Jeans
