Call regarding 'unwanted female' leads to charges for Elliot Lake woman

On March 24, 2018 at approximately 10:18 a.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police received a call of an unwanted female in a residence on Stewart Crescent in the City of Elliot Lake, Ont. 

Police attended and investigation revealed that there was also a warrant out for the female. She had been in contravention of numerous release conditions.

As a result, the female was arrested and charged.

Jessie Lynn Fournier, 23 years of age, of Elliot Lake, Ont. was charged with:

  • Fail to comply with recognizance (two counts), contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code (CC),
  • Fail to comply with probation order (three counts), contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CC.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Bail Court in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. on March 26, 2018.
