BLIND RIVER - The East Algoma (Blind River) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to advise the public that the Detachment located at 239 Causley St., Blind River, will be completely closed to the public on Dec. 8 and Dec. 9, 2020. This closure is to allow for critical infrastructure upgrades to the facility. Normal operations are set to resume on Dec. 10, 2020.

During this closure, the public are asked to refrain from attending the detachment and to defer any administrative matters, including criminal record checks, until after the facility has re-opened. Any critical administrative inquiries that cannot be postponed for two days can be made via phone to the East Algoma (Elliot Lake) Detachment by calling 705-848-0467.

Please note that frontline policing operations and emergency response will not be impacted by this temporary facility closure.
