Blind River man accused of trespassing

Police say they found the man hiding in the basement of the residence

On Feb. 24, 2020, shortly after noon, members from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to a trespassing complaint at a residence on Michigan Avenue in the Town of Blind River.

Officers arrived and located a male hiding in the basement of the residence.

As a result, Michael Hagger, 36 years-of-age from Blind River, Ontario was arrested, removed from the residence, issued a provincial offence notice and charged with:

  • Trespass enter premises when entry prohibited, contrary to the Trespass to Property Act.
