On June 10, 2021 at approximately 6:30 p.m., members from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Washington Crescent in the City of Elliot Lake.
Investigation determined a couple had a verbal argument and ensued to where one partner was [allegedly] bit.
As a result of the investigation, a 67-year-old from Elliot Lake was charged with:
• Assault - spousal, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on Aug. 3, 2021.
