(1946-2018) – On October 28th, 2018, Douglas Lloyd Tomchick, at the age of 72, left this world as abruptly as he entered it. He was the eldest son of 5 boys, Bob, Larry (predeceased), Gord, and Dan, born to Audrey (nee Merchant) and Lloyd Tomchick of New Liskeard, Ontario. Doug was a man of few words unless you were talking about the news, weather, sports, politics, history, trivia, or his kids…and then you were in for an earful! He was a kind dad, a caring grandfather, and a good friend. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his daughters Sheri Tomchick and Stacey Lambert, his granddaughters Addison and Mackenzie, his sons-in-law Jason and Bob, and a few special friends. As per Doug’s wishes, there will be no services. His family would like to thank his close friend Fern for being such a great support to Doug.
