We are heartbroken to announce the peaceful passing of Heinz at the age of 92. Beloved husband of 69 years to Hedwig “Hedi”. Loving father of Anita Steiert (Margie) and Marion Albert (Broderick). Cherished Opa of Krista Welsh (David), Erin Wiesner, Genevieve Albert, Zachari Albert and Samuel Albert (Hilary) and great Opa of Gabe, Charlotte, Theo and Maggie. Fondly remembered by his brother Helmut, sisters-in-laws Elfriede and Agnes as well as nieces and nephews all from Germany.
Heinz was a successful business man with an entrepreneurial spirit, establishing businesses in Blind River and London Ontario. He was an avid sports fan. He and Hedi enjoyed travelling with their AirStream trailer where great friendships were made. Heinz loved family gatherings and we will forever miss his quirky wit and sense of humour.
The family would like to thank the Algoma Manor and staff, especially Mike for his attentive care.
At Heinz’s request there are no services at this time. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
