It is with deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Cliff on August 3rd in his 74th year. Beloved husband of 46 years to Diane. Loving father of Bruce (France) and Laurie Hume (Dave). Forever missed by grandchildren Cody, Alexie, Travis and Ramsay. Cherished brother to Marion Gowing (Dan) and the late Tom (Linda). Will always be remembered by his niece and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Norman and Ruth Spratt.
Cliff was an avid outdoorsman which began with his term as a Conservation Officer many years ago. Hunting and fishing were two of his greatest passions. He also loved all things vintage and was a collector of antiques. He loved the town of Blind River and made it his home and was proud to have served as a Councillor since 2014.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Deverell and the nurses at the North Shore Health Network in Blind River.
As per Cliff’s wishes there will be no service. A come and go celebration of life will be held on August 31, 2019 at 5977 Highway 557, Bearhead Lake from 1pm to 3pm.
The family graciously accepts donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
