SMITH Isabella

April 19, 1931 – February 6, 2020
It is with saddened hearts we announce the quiet passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother in law, aunt and friend while at Golden Birches Terrace, Blind River. Predeceased by her husband Clarence and infant grandchild Joseph. Survived by her loving children Stanley, Barbara, Brenda and Hilda Machin (Ted). Forever in the hearts of her grandchildren Lily Barlow (Tim), Aubrey Smith, Jason Smith (Maxine), James Smith (Carolyn), Ashley Gosselin (Daniel) and Clarence Wilkins. Cherished great grandmother of Jordan, Joseph, Chloe, Isabella, Nicole, Charlotte, Melanie, Kaylee, Landon, Jaxon and Madison. Predeceased by her parents Jeanette and James Royal and siblings Agnes, Norman, Harvey, Sally, Doreen, Elmer and Rosella.

Isabella was born and raised in Kynoch. She was an avid vegetable gardener and loved picking wild berries. She enjoyed having tea with friends and always ensured her family and friends were well fed. She was resourceful and a master at making something out of nothing from her delicious home cooked meals to her beautiful quilts. Isabella had a kind and forgiving heart, she was always generous to those around her. We will miss her infectious laugh, her big smile and everything else about her.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Golden Birches Terrace for the wonderful care given to our mother over the last year and also for keeping her comfortable and dignified in her last days.

At this time there are no services but a private family gathering will be held in the summer of 2020.
