Passed away peacefully at the age of 88 while at Golden Birches Terrace in Blind River. Beloved soulmate of Gorddell Dewitt. He will be lovingly remembered by many family members and friends.
Doug was a truck driver for many years hauling gravel and logs in the Haliburton and Iron Bridge areas. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He was known for his sense of humour and kept everybody laughing. His favourite sayings were “bald headed eagle” and “I’m bigger than everyone and they can stop for me”. The family would like to thank everybody at the Golden Birches Terrace as well as his family and friends for all their love and support and being there for him.
Cremation has taken place, there will be no services at this time.
