August 2, 1950 – February 6, 2020
We are saddened to announce the graceful passing of Ola while at Golden Birches Terrace in Blind River in her 70th year. She is predeceased by the love of her life, Charles. She will be forever missed by her sister Bev Norton (the late Danny) and her brother Arthur Pultz (Debra). Cherished Auntie of Ralph (Melissa), Carolyn (Mike) and Corey (Lindsey). Great Auntie of Jocelyn, Lyncon, Danica, Blake, Kaelynn and Connor. Fondly remembered by the Meawasige family.
Ola received her BA and Masters in Education at York University. She had a long teaching career in the elementary school system in the Algoma District. She retired as a principal and went on to serve on the Children’s Aid Society Board.
The family would like to thank Sue Ashdown, Carol Fortino, Diane Bode, Rhonda Kirby and the Venerable Roberta Wilson-Garrett for all their help with Ola’s celebration of life and a special thanks to Jenna for singing and Bud for drumming. They also want to thank the staff at Golden Birches Terrace for their great care.
