It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother surrounded by the love of her family at the Algoma Manor, Thessalon on May 23, 2020 in her 86th year after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband, John Reycraft McPhee. Daughter of the late Art and Clara Bird of Thessalon. Beloved mother of Janet Harnden (Alan), Dennis McPhee (Susan), Kim Brooks (Mervin) and John. Adored grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 14. Treasured sister of Betty Grisdale (late Dail) and the late Jean Bird. Sister-in-law of the late Hugh McPhee (late Shirley), late Myra Bowser (late Ray), late Dan McPhee (late Joy), late Janet Murphy (late Bill). Terry will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be remembered fondly for her cheery disposition and her devotion to her family. Many thanks to the nurses and support staff on 2B at the Sault Area Hospital, especially Sandra and Colleen who gave our mother a reason to smile every morning and the physiotherapy staff who were wonderful to mom. Special thanks to Tammy Campbell and the staff at the Algoma Manor for your compassion and support during a difficult time. Due to the Covid virus a funeral mass and celebration of life is postponed until a later date. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SAH Foundation Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated. In memory of Terry, take the time to say hello to a stranger and offer a helping hand to someone in need.
