FOX, Robert William Charles (Bob)

Bob passed away suddenly at home on July 25, 2018 in his 77th year with his faithful dog Penny by his side.  

Bob was predeceased by his parents William and Edith Fox, his in laws Ross and Nancy Lloyd, his sisters Margaret and Claire, brothers in law Bob, Norm and John, sister in law Dorothy, his infant son Lloyd and infant grandsons Liam and Curran.  He is survived by his wife and best friend of 53 years, Marilyn, his sons Jim (Karen), Steve (Jill) and Brian (Cindy) and his daughter in law Angela (Jerry). He also leaves his beloved grandchildren, Caden, Carter, Cassandra, Emily, Aleah, Nixxon, Ella, Jude and Thomas.  He is also survived by his sisters Pat, Colleen (Jim) and Dorrie (Roger) and Sisters in Law Catherine (Jim) and Diane as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Bob was raised in Matachewan, Ontario and spent his teenage years in Toronto before moving north to the Pronto mine site where he would settle for life. He spent 34 years working for Rio Algom at Pronto, Pater, Quirke and Stanleigh mines.  In retirement, he was always busy working his trap line, hunting, fishing, gardening, being a wonderful grandpa and travelling with Marilyn.

Bob could always be counted on to give a helping hand whenever he could and forged many friendships over the years that lasted a lifetime.  He will be sadly missed by those who knew him.

A celebration of Bob’s life was held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Blind River Community Centre If you wish, donations in Bob's memory to the North Shore Health Network would be appreciated
